SubhashKapoor has narrated a sensitive story in a nice manner. The humour added in the courtroom doesn’t look forced and rather justifies the role of actor SaurabhShukla. The dialogues are crisp and thought provoking. First half of the film is much better than the second, with a hook point at the intermission, but the real drama unfolds in the second half which mainly pans out in the court room. The good part of the film is despite losing the grip in middle, it picks up the pace by the end credits. Source : Visit site for more

Its length sucks life and breath out of the film, rendering the scenes leading up to the climax rather limp. Matters are worsened by an underwhelming, tacked-on denouement. The first time around, the director was driven purely by a spirit of creative independence. Jolly LLB 2, a `bigger` production, plays more by rules that are skewed towards the needs of a mainstream audience. With superstar Akshay Kumar stepping into ArshadWarsi`s shoes, the film sheds its commercial underdog tag. In the bargain, it also loses out on some of the charming spontaneity that Warsi`s natural comic flair had lent the legal drama. Source : Visit site for more

The case that has this transformative effect on him involves a pregnant widow seeking justice for her murdered husband, police corruption, judicial indifference, Kashmir politics and more. Individually, these are explosive ingredients. And significant portions of the film are credible as a result. It fails to come together in its entirety though because of the inconsistent writing. In the courtroom drama called Jolly LLB 2, Jagdishwar Mishra aka Jolly (Akshay Kumar) is the lead actor. Jolly LLB 2 is generously peppered with one-liners that deserve to be repeated. Most of these high-voltage lines are mouthed by the film`s pivot, Justice SunderlalTripathi (an inimitable SaurabhShukla). Shukla brings his humour and straight-faced dialogue-delivery from the first Jolly LLB, including slight references to it. However, this is a different courtroom. This is Lucknow and you`re told "Muskuraiye, AapLucknowmeinhain," even as goons blow bullets through your brains. Source : Visit site for more

This sequel of Jolly LLB, infinitely superior to the first, brings back the joys of watching a movie with a solid plot, a strong sense of time and place and rhythm, and a confidence in itself that has been missing from Bollywood. Yes, there a few dips, and some slips, but on the whole, this Akshay Kumar-starrer is a win. Source : Visit site for more

There is a real world outside Bollywood courtrooms where a common man can’t differentiate between a corrupt judicial system and a fraudulent police administration. And this world comes charging at you before you can look away. Add a few bullets and some dark humour and you get Jolly LLB 2, the second film in the Jolly LLB (2013) franchise. On the face of it, apna Jolly is a novice indulging in petty crimes because he knows the loopholes in the law. At home, he is the hen-pecked husband of lush, PushpaPanday(Huma) who loves whisky, Gucci dresses and her chubby son in that order. But these are just asides and not the main premise of courtroom drama, which in many ways follows the template of the 2013 prequel, Jolly LLB. Source : Visit site for more

What’s nice though that even when Jolly LLB 2 relaxes its fun side to venture into serious terrain, it retains its spunk and irony. Once again, Akshay Kumar leaps into the dramatic space of verbal volleys and paan-stained pearlies with ease never allowing the robust Khiladi to override the rustic Jolly. Though it is relegated to side-lines, the evolved equation he shares with his tough, supportive wife (a zippy HumaQureshi) is duly noticed. All these superlative actors and their chuckle-worthy zingers penned by writer and director SubhashKapoor makes it easy to overlook the problems in Jolly LLB 2. The needless song and dances, the somewhat preachy lessons in secularism and a lumbering episode featuring a stiff Sayani Gupta are first to come to mind. Source : Visit site for more
