Akshay Kumar’s next flick PadMan delivers a strong message about the menstruation cycle of women. The film depicts the life of a man who broke the menstruation taboo by talking publicly about the menstruation cycle and the hygienic lifestyle women should follow. The man portrayed by Akshay tries to revolutionize the manufacturing of cheap sanitary napkins for women and their easy availability.

Here are some reasons, why every human being should watch PadMan:

Amazing Star Cast

R.Balki’s biographical film features Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. Usually, people do not watch films with unknown or new actors, even if the title of the film looks appealing. The amazing performance of Akshay, Radhika and Sonam are sure to mesmerize the audience as they have witnessed the latter’s past achievement.

Likeness towards Social dramas

Creating awareness of social issues through films has been a go-to for many B-town filmmakers. The films are making a considerable impact on critical problems and stigma of the society. Akshay’s previous movie ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ was much loved by the critics and audience. It will quite interesting to expect another one from the actor.

Strong Social Message with Real-life Inspiration

The comedy-drama film is written by R. Balki based on a short story in Twinkle Khanna’s book ‘The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad’ inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham. Mr. Muruganantham is a social activist and entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu. The film portrays the life of the inventor of low-cost sanitary napkins manufacturing machine and the challenges he faced.

Akshay - The Desi Superhero

In the beginning of the trailer, the voice of the legend Amitabh Bachchan refers different Hollywood super heroes and terms Akshay’s character as the Indian superhero ‘PadMan’. The character creates the much-needed awareness about the traditional unhygienic menstruation practices in rural India and the solution for this issue.

‘PadMan’ would be treat to watch.
