Akshay starrer Padman is all set to release next month and the Khiladi of Bollywood has always been ahead when it came to social work and standing up for causes.  Akshay kumar and his movies have now become Bollywood’s attempt for a makeover or an image change.

The arts faculty at DU saw a gathering of thousands as the students came to see Akshay commence the women’s marathon for tax free sanitary napkins. The organizing committee DUSU got the required jump start as Akshay spoke of the indispensable relationship between women and menstruation. He also stated that instead of just making the sanitary napkins low budget and tax free, rural women should be provided the same free of cost.

The campus was abuzz with excitement as students waited for almost three hours to catch a glimpse of the actor. Akshay addressed the crowd as Delhitiies and stated that he too is one deep in his heart as he has spent a large part of his life in Old Delhi. The crowd went berserk when the actor stated his love the crowd and that it was one of the best crowds he had seen in a long time. Akshay being the down to earth and funny celeb made funny comments at the ones in the crowd who were busy pulling at his legs and the ones who had climbed up trees to see him. It is amazing how actors are now living up to the expectation of the audience of helping the world be a better place. The actor unveiled a sanitary pad making machine at the event.

Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte starrer Padman will hit the testers on February 9, 2018 and will clash with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary.
