2018 is a stone-throw away. With blockbuster releases like ‘Raees’, ‘Kaabil’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Hindi Medium’and of course `Tiger Zinda Hai`, Given the scenario on the music scene was surprisingly decent. Songs to feed the soul, sensitivity and spunk popped up more frequently and offered solace from cacophonous junk.

Let`s have a look at the top five hits that rocked the chart this week:

1. Swag Se Swagat:

Singer: Vishal & Shekhar

Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

With Katrina Kaif looking like a million bucks and Salman, in his ‘cool as a cucumber’ avatar - get ready to get your groove on. With insane beats, this song is surely going to be the ultimate party song. The song features 100 dancers including ballerinas, hip-hop artists and Afro-dance hall performers from Greece, France, Trinidad, and Tobago, among other countries. DONT forget to turn the volume insanely high when the song hits 1:16 minutes!!!!

2. Ghoomar:

Singer:Shreya Ghoshal

Lyrics: Swaroop Khan, A M Turaz

Regal, grand and beautiful. Ghoomar is a traditional dance form of Rajasthan which is known for its circling twists and coordinated hand movements. Deepika`s grace is in perfect sync with Bhansali`s vision. The costumes of all characters including Padmavati, Rana Rawal Ratan, and Allaudin Khilji have been designed with absolute precision, pertaining to the 12th century. The movie is based on the infamous siege of Chittorgarh Fort by Allaudin Khilji.

3. Dil Diyan Gallan:

Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

The softer side of Tiger is just adorable!!! ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’ from Tiger Zinda Hai makes you believe in love all over again. Shot in the picture-perfect locales of Austria, this song brings forth their breath-taking chemistry. A classic love ballad. Tiger and Zoya are soooo in love. "Dil Diyan Gallan follows the same form/signature of a classic Yash Chopra song – aesthetic, inspired by the innocence of old school romances and at the same time, focuses on mature, deeply felt love.” said director Ali Abbas Zafar.

4. Ban Ja Rani

Singer: Guru Randhawa

Lyrics: Guru Randhawa

Ummm...Question! Who introduced this insanely sweet piece of muffin to Bollywood? Lets admit it, when it comes to Punjabi swag Guru nails it! After his super successful Bollywood debut with Suit Suit, Guru Randhawa is all over the charts with a new Bollywood version of his own song “Tu Meri Rani”. A middle-class man trying to woo his wife with his bad yet funny and adorable dancing skills. This song would give you that much-needed sugar rush.

5. Aaj Se Teri:

Singer: Arijit Sing

Lyrics: Kausar Muni

After a successful trailor launch, the filmmakers released the first song `Aaj se teri` which gives us a sneak peek into the simple and ordinary life of a newlywed couple. The movie is based on a book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad by the fast turning feminist icon Twinkle Khanna. The track starts with a soft shehnai playing in the background and kicks off to catch a faster tempo. Akshay`sunorthodox and bizarre manners make him the crazy-guy of the village. However, that doesn`t stop him from wooing his plain Jane and a rather innocent wife. Sure to give you some serious marriage goals.

And....that`s a wrap!!!!
