Turns out Indians were not all that interested in “Sholay 3D” as the box office after four days in Indian theaters reached 63 million rupees ($1.01 million) from 1,000 screens.

Theaters were at 60%-70% capacity, according to exhibitors. Although the Amitabh Bachchan-Dharmendra starrer beat the other new release “Mr. Joe B. Carvalho” at the box office, the 3D conversion cost the producers $3.5 million.

Dhoom 3,” with Aamir Khan, is still going gangbusters in theaters at 90% capacity, according to exhibs, and may be drawing all the oxygen
