We have seen such action, vigilante thriller films before too. But, this comes in a new avatar. Laced with heavy dialogues, ripping muscles of John Abraham, a remade 90s song which has already garnered a lot of views online and Manoj Bajpayee playing the “good, law-abiding cop” yet again, Satyameva Jayate claims to be a fight against corruption, or should we say corrupt cops! The trailer talks about that in glimpses. But, we do feel that John Abraham does it really well with his biceps, packed punches and more.

The poster for the film shows John Abraham in a savior avatar with the emblem on which it is engraved - Satyamev Jayate in Hindi. The fire rings around the poster, or around the central characters, speaks volumes of the kind of fire-packed action audiences will get to see in the film. And yes, do take a careful look at the image the encircling fire has made! It’s the 4 lions (out of which only 3 are visible in our emblem)! That’s a potentially controversial yet great way of touching the nationalist sentiments of people. Well, well, the film releases on Independence Day, after all. Need we say more?

Satyameva Jayate Story & Trailer:

Directed by Milap Zaveri, the look of the film is intense and super heavy! Well, we have had a film by the same name starring Vinod Khanna in the late 80s. And, not to forget, Aamir Khan’s much famous TV show by the same name. Seems the name has been taken in since the crux of the story remains the same. An honest police officer trying to change the system and fighting corrupt cops single-handedly. We see the two actors - John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee - locking horns (not physically, though we completely expect we’d get to see that in the film) and loads of blood and murders! Not to forget the heavy dialogues including the female empowerment one!

Satyameva Jayate Cast:

John Abraham seems to be back in action after a hiatus. He has had back to back hits this year. Manoj Bajpayee, who plays a cop in the film, shows us time and again why he’ll always remain the poster boy of law and police in Bollywood. Aisha Sharma seems good on screen and, as in most such vigilante movies, plays John’s love interest who knows he isn’t a serial killer (though he has actually serially killed policemen in the film). Both the male leads are seen at loggerheads, engaging in some heavy exchange of dialogues and a cat and mouse chase. And the twist is, both are on the right! Fight against corruption, but in entirely opposite manners.

Satyameva Jayate Budget, Prediction & Box Office Collection:

The audience has been swept off their feet seeing John Abraham this way. He seems to have entertained and impressed audiences very well with his action in his last release Parmanu. Seems like he is going the Akshay Kumar way soon enough! The release of the film on Independence Day will cater to the patriotic fervor of the audience. Though the film is set to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Gold, which has combined sports and patriotism together, the loud action, blood-smeared faces, kicking punches and the good cop-bad cop drama will be an entertaining watch for many.

Satyameva Jayate Music Videos & Audio Jukebox:

The soundtrack of the film has been composed by Sajid-Wajid, Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli and Arko Pravo Mukherjee. Impressive names there! As Bollywood is high on the remakes and recreations of the 90s hit songs, we have the iconic 90s track “Dilbar Dilbar” remade as an item number starring Nora Fatehi and her belly!!! The new voice that you hear is of Neha Kakkar and Dhvani Bhanushali along with Ikka. The original composition, sung by Alka Yagnik, belonged to music director duo Nadeem-Shravan and was from the 1999 film Sirf Tum. “Dilbar Dilbar” is already on its way to top 10 chartbusters.

Satyameva Jayate Review: Reviving The 80s Cinema With More Action Than Needed

Though such a genre isn’t new at all, action films have considerably reduced in number. And well, we get to see John Abraham after a long time in such a high intensive performance. Also, let’s not forget, action and vigilante thrillers do cater to a particular section of people. And when you throw item numbers along with it, well, you know what happens!! Satyameva Jayate Review also depends upon the heavy dialogues delivered throughout the movie. Though a clash with Gold might prove to be a tough competition, even though the spirit is same - patriotism, we sure can expect to see the movie as a hit!
