Are you bored of the Punjabi song stereotypes? Want a wedding song with a psychedelic twist to it? Kaala Doreya is just what you are looking for.

The original version of  ‘Kaala Doreya’ is a well known Punjabi folk song ‘Gidda’, basically sung during weddings. Neha Bhasin has lent her vocals and rapper Raxstar has added his touch of firangi to it. Composed by Sameer Uddin, this unconventional Punjabi groove is the go-to TGIF song.

This rehash of an otherwise traditional song will surely set your feet tapping instantly. The song goes from "Crazy!" to "this is insane..!!" to "ARE YOU KIDDING MMMMMEEEE!" in a matter of minutes. It was released on Dec 27 and we have had a love hate relationship with it since then.

Censor Board had ordered 70 cuts to Kaalakaandi!! Do we need to say more? The story revolves around six complete strangers living in Mumbai and a span of 12 hours and how their lives intersect to create a perfect chaos. The protagonist (Saif Ali Khan) is diagnosed with stomach cancer. Saif, who plays a complete teetotaller, is rather taken aback. Cliche warning! So, instead of medicines, he`s prescribed a license to indulge in everything he`s abstained from so far.

Now begins a crazy journey of rave parties, rash driving, drunk diaries and....errr..we leave it to your imagination. Don’t we all want to live our deepest, darkest and most lustful fantasies for a day???.
The thrilling dark comedy written and directed by Akshat Verma and produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Flying Unicorn Entertainment is set to hit the theatres on January 12, 2018.
The movie also stars, Vijay Raaz, Deepak Dobriyal, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasurywala, Nary Singh & Akshay Oberoi.
Chotey Nawab, who was spotted enjoying a snowy holiday Taimur ( Nawab-in-making)  and  wifey (sigh!), sports an eccentric look in the movie. His little birdie look is sure to give you nightmares for decades, but we cant help loving it at the same time. His haunted looks ( as if he`s been zapped a hundred times over ) and occasional breakdowns add an element of intrigue to the plot. Lets hope this birdie soars high in the box office.
