Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha Trailer Refurbishes Bollywood comedy

Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming Bollywood movie Pataakha is truly one of it’s kind, there no doubt in that. Starring Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra and silver screen newbie Radhika Madan in the lead, the trailer is a live encyclopedia of ‘desi slangs’.

Director-Producer Vishal Bhardwaj is a jack-in-the-box. When he goes behind the camera, anything might come out of the magician’s hat. And this time, it’s Pataakha.

The trailer has made quite a buzz over the internet and Bollywood fandom is already craving Pataakha’s release. Sharing the same DNA does not always come easy. The 3 minute 30 seconds trailer starts with Badki and Chutki name calling, wrestling in the mud like pigs and biting each other head off. An amused crowd cheers the mortal enemies in an India Vs Pakistan-like knockout.

The sisters grow up to be bold, rugged-beautiful and pretty rough around the edges. Vijay Raaz plays the eternally ( and obviously !) frustrated father who uses a firm hand to drag the wildings back on track. They move ahead in life with their wild ways and find equally quirky partners.

Life takes a turn, a bad one when Vijay Raaz unwillingly uses one of his daughters as a leverage against money. Who is the unlucky bride? Both the girls elope with their beloved, without the others knowledge and end up marrying the guys. A happily-ever-after. Sunil Grover portrays the role of a notorious catalyst who instigates the sisters to fight but equally cares for them.

Wait a minute! Here comes the next and probably the best twist. The two girls who could never stand each other, end up marrying in the same household. Once again destiny scores! Pataakha is what you call pure entertainment. After a series of hits like Haider, 7 Khoon Maaf, Ishqiya, and Kaminey, Pataakha is Vishal’s next experiment with Indian cine-goers, who are used to the usual love-breakup-makeup equation.

Pataakha’s star cast includes Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz. Witty dialogues, unconventional story and a great star cast. Pataakha is the perfect recipe for a rib-tickling comedy. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on September 28.
