After a series of legal battles from past few months, the first full-length trailer of Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, starring Bollywood’s macho superstar John Abraham, has finally released and is out of the troubled water. The trailer has beautifully encapsulated the jist of the movie because of which we cannot resist but glue our eyes to the screen until the end. While sharing the trailer, the lead actor tweeted addressing the six real army personals as maverick minds who powered the nation with nuclear strength 20 years ago. The actor also mentioned that it is the 20th anniversary of India`s nuclear test explosions at Pokhran.
The movie was inspired by a true event of nuclear bomb test explosions that shows the efforts by a team of six people who dreamt of something big for the country. Just like the teaser, the two and a half minute trailer also opens with Boman Irani`s salient voice announcing about the tagless job. After which we get to see John Abraham who goes undercover with his team with a hope of transforming India into one of those powerful countries called ‘ The Nuclear States’. The operation, ‘Operation Shakti’ was carried out in a small village ‘Pokhran’, despite a lot of international pressure on India to not go forward with the tests.
