Naseeruddin Shah back on the big screen with ‘Hope Aur Hum’!

Naseeruddin Shah is back with his upcoming movie and we surely can’t wait!

After a small role in Aiyaary, Naseeruddin Shah is all set hit the screens with his upcoming movie ‘Hope Aur Hum’ also starring Sonali Kulkarni, Kabir Sajid, Naveen Kasturia, and Aamir Bashir. The movie is reported to be a family entertainer which revolves around a Mumbai based Shrivastava family. It has a unique and simple story of human emotions depicted via each and every member of the family. The tale of the Shrivastava family shows the age gap of three different generations and their different ideals of life. The movie is directed and written by Sudip Bandyopadhyay.

The journey of the Star-

Naseeruddin Shah was born on 16 August 1949 in a Muslim family in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. Before coming to mainstream Bollywood movies, Shah formed a theatre group called Motley Productions in 1977 along with Tom Alter and Benjamin Gilani. They made some remarkable plays like Samuel Beckett`s ‘Waiting for Godot’, Ionesco`s `The Lesson`, Albee`s `Zoo Story`, Pinter`s, and `The Dumbwaiter`. After which the actor switched to Bollywood and made his debut with the 1980 film ‘Hum Paanch’. The stepping stone in his career was his 1983 film ‘Masoom’ directed by Shekhar Kapur which received several awards like Filmfare Award for Best Actor, Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film and Filmfare Award for Best Music Director. He then did some spellbinding movies like Karma (1986), Ijaazat (1987), Jalwa (1988) and Hero Hiralal (1989). In 1994, the actor did his 100th movie ‘Mohra’ where he played the villain.
