Majid Majidi`s maiden India-set project `Beyond The Clouds` will have its India debut at the 48th International Film Festival of India, to be held from November 20-28 in Goa. The Iranian producer says he is interested to see the response of the audience. Featuring Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan in the lead parts, the motion picture commends the triumph and veneration of life against the backdrop of Mumbai.
"This is my second time at the IFFI, Goa. The first time it was a retrospective of my earlier films and this time, it`s for `Beyond The Clouds`. I am very happy and curious to see the reactions of the audiences because this is the first time the film will be presented to Indian audiences," Majidi said in a statement.
The film shows an amalgamation of three dialects (Hindi, Tamil and English) rather than it being shot and named independently. Every dialect will frame a noteworthy piece of the film and will be utilized as a part of the scenes and setups that befit those dialects. Majidi’s noteable works are The Willow Tree, Barefoot to Heart, Muhammad and Children of Heaven. He was also nominated for the Academy Awards in 1998.
Majid will attend the film festival along with his lead actors, music composer A.R. Rahman and director Vishal Bhardwaj on the premiere of IFFI.
