No One Killed Jessica is a biographical Bollywood thriller movie starring Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan, produced by UTV Spotboy and directed by Rajkumar Gupta. This film is based on the Jessica Lal murder case.

Based on the murder of model Jessica Lall (1999) in an uptown diner in Delhi and her sister, Sabrina Lall`s battle for equity, the film showcases contemporary India as it seems to be. The joke of the legitimate technique, the escape clauses in the policing system, the corruption in the power circles, and the powerlessness of the basic Indian: Sabrina`s (Vidya Balan) battle - controlled by the feisty writer, Meera Gaity`s tenacious examination and the general population`s campaign - conveys life to daily paper features that still haven`t been forgotten.

The score was composed by Amit Trivedi, who worked on the soundtrack for Dev D (2009). The character of Jessica’s older sister, Sabrina Lal, is played by Vidya Balan, and the character of the news reporter following the story is played by Rani Mukerji. Upon release, the film garnered positive critical reviews and enjoyed a successful outing at the box office.

Vidya Balan’s No One Killed Jessica is a film that releases a heap of feelings in you. The hard realities of current India`s most written about case are notable by nearly everyone except the director Rajkumar Gupta`s (he`d just shown his talent in Aamir) emotional treatment of the crime, the hoodlums, the crusaders and the casualty makes a tempest, once again.

The performances are excellent and significantly character actors who perform for a solitary scene concoct moving acts. Vidya Balan is splendid in the part of Sabrina, magnificently symbolizing a common citizen’s battle for equity. She is the soul of the film. Rani`s character being anecdotal and glamorized appears to be shallow to a degree however she packs in the punch required for her dynamic character. After playing comic characters in Khosla Ka Ghoslaand Ishqiya, Rajesh Sharma is imperative in his first serious part as the inspector accountable for the case. Neil Bhoopalam as the prime witness who turns hostile over a certain demonstration puts up a confident act. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub looks to some extent like Manu Sharma and depicts his character with conviction.

No One Killed Jessica received four nominations at the 57th Filmfare Awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Film and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress; it won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Rani Mukerji`s performance.
