IFFI – Films To Be Screened Declared

The list of Indian movies to be screened at the "Indian Panorama" segment of the 48th International Film Festival of India, to be held from November 20-28 in Goa, was declared on Thursday. Indian Panorama is the segment under which a few Indian dialect films (feature/non-feature) are demonstrated each year at the celebration. In the classification of full length films, a sum of 26 films have been chosen for screening including five from the standard silver screen.



"Jolly LLB 2" and "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" are among the five chosen from the Indian standard film. "The opening movie of the feature film segment of Indian Panaroma is Pihu which has been coordinated by Vinod Kapri," said an announcement from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. The 2016 National Award winning "Kaasav", directed by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar, has consequently discovered a passage in the rundown, according to the India Panorama 2017 Regulations, the announcement said.


Most number of movies is from Marathi (nine), trailed by Hindi (six), including the generally acclaimed "Newton" which is likewise the official passage from India for the Oscars.

A different list of non-feature film was also announced. Under that section there are about 16 films, which will be shown including “Fireflies in the Abyss” the National Award winning film directed by Chandrasekhar Reddy.
