Prabhu Deva is a dance choreographer, dancer, actor, producer, and actor. He was born on 3 April 1973. In 25 years of career span, he has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam movies. He was born in Mysore, Karnataka to Mugur Sundar and Mahadevamma Sundar. He has two brothers, Raju Sundaram and Nagendra Prasad. He married Ramlath in 1995 and divorced in 2010 due to his affair with Nayantara. His father was also a choreographer in South Indian movies. Inspired by his father, Prabhu took up dancing by learning Bharatanatyam and several other western dance forms. He has won two Filmfare and National Film Awards for best choreography.




Prabhu Deva has contributed in more than 100 movies till date. He first appeared in the song "Panivizhum Iravu", from the Tamil film Mouna Ragam (1986), playing the flute. After which he was seen as a background dancer in the 1988 Tamil film Agni Natchathiram. He started his career as a choreographer in the Kamal Haasan starrer movie Vetri Vizha (1989). Subsequently, he went into acting and appeared in several other movies. His debut movie as a lead actor was Indhu (1994) directed by Pavithran which was a romantic drama. He has directed several movies which includes Ramaiya Vastavaiya starring Girish Kumar alongside Shruti Haasan, R... Rajkumar starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, Action Jackson starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha and Yami Gautam and Singh is Bling starring Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, and Lara Dutta. Some of the movies where he contributed as a producer are ABCD, ABCD 2 and Tutak Tutak Tutiya. He even tried his luck in singing in Tamil Films, Suyamvaram, and Ullam Kollai Poguthe.
