Looks like Dangal literally knocked out Baahubali 2 in the Battle for Glory! While the Chinese have shown some real love to India at the Box Office, keeping aside the tensions at the L.A.C!
Reports say that Aamir Khan starrer Dangal collected over 2000 Cr in the Box Office Worldwide as soon as it was released there in 9000 screens – the same number of screens as Baahubali 2 released all over the world! Guess Aamir knows how to kick, quite quietly!
These are few of the records that Dangal has created all across the globe:
Dangal beat other Indian movies and even Hollywood flicks to become the fifth highest grossing film, apart from English films. What’s more? Only 4 international flicks – The Mermaid and Monster Hunt from China, The Untouchables from France and Your Name from Japan – have achieved this remarkable feat.
Produced by Disney, Dangal is the franchise’s 4th super hit of 2016 afterPirates of the Caribbean 5, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Beauty and the Beast.
Dangal has also created history as the first and sole Indian film to have grossed Rs 1000 Crore overseas. The film’s business in China has been exceptional with over $150 dollars and highest opening in Chinese box office history apart from staying in theatres consecutively for 38 days with gross $10 Million. Dangal is also the biggest international film in China, apart from Hollywood flicks
