Bollywood films see a slew of releases every year, some major and others minor. For films which are released on a much grander scale, on specific festival dates or special occasions, the release plans are higher. Hence, the distribution plays an important role there.

Shah Rukh Khan’s last film comes under this category for its massive distribution rights investments both in the domestic and overseas market. No wonder, the worldwide release of SRK’s next film is going to go way above the huge amount of the previous. As per reports, NH Studioz headed by Narendra Hirawat has acquired the domestic and overseas distribution rights of the Shah Rukh Khan- Anushka Sharma starrer tentatively titled The Ring for a staggering Rs. 100+ crores. If industry sources are to be believed, these rights have come in with valuation of approx. 125 crores. Though Hirawat has confirmed the news, he refused to comment on the figures for the distribution rights of the SRK-starrer.

Imtiaz Ali, in over a decade as a director in the film industry, hasn’t worked with Shah Rukh Khan yet. The question was put to the Tamasha director many times. It seems the director-actor pair have come together to finally fulfill that dream of their fans. However, Imtiaz maintained that both he and SRK were keen to do the project together and hence are making the film. The exotic locations shared online are already adding to the curiosity of fans. Shah Rukh and Anushka are sharing screen space as a couple after 8 years; their last film together was Anushka’s debut film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

As per reports, Anushka will play a tourist in the film while SRK will essay the role of a guide.
