In the current generation of emerging superstars and amongst his peers and contemporaries, Varun Dhawan clearly has the best track record. The star kid who debuted from KJo’s Student of the Year [2012] and went on to work in numerous films including his last release Dishoom [2016], is trying all genres to advance his career.

His last comedy flick Dilwale did not perform well at the box office in spite of the presence of Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty with the film grossing around net Rs. 148 crore. Varun Dhawan has also acted in movies like Badlapur proving his mettle as a serious, strong actor. The prequel to the film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania fared well at the BO and hence, expectations are high from this movie starring the same lead pair.

Since his debut in Bollywood, Varun Dhawan hasn’t had a single flop to his credit. However, it remains to be seen how his next ventures fare at the box office. Looking at the slow pace of films this year, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is expected to rake up money at the box office.

Here’s a quick look at the money his films have minted at the box office since his debut: Student of the Year Rs. 70 crore Main Tera Hero Rs. 55 crore Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania Rs. 78 crore Badlapur Rs. 53 crore ABCD 2 Rs. 107 crore Dilwale Rs. 148 crore Dishoom Rs. 70.
