Dil Diyan Gallan (Tiger Zinda Hai) –

Shab Tum Ho – Darshan Raval –

This runner-up from one of the topmost singing reality shows has made good use of the exposure the show provided. The song will put you in a feel-good mood. You can reminiscence about your loved one and recall all the beautiful moments you had with them.

Yaara  (1921) -

Arnab Dutta’s haunting voice works for this number from the horror flick 1921. Retelling the tale of deep anguish over love, the song has a different connotation altogether with pain and romance both put together. Whether you are sad or ecstatic, you will be able to relate to this song, regardless.

Galtiyan – Zack Knight (IndiPop) –

He gave a smash hit with his party number “Bom Diggy”. Well, this song is radically different from that. Even though the song has upbeat tunes, it is essentially a sad number. Romance can never be a too tried and tested genre for the entertainment industry, isn’t it? Zack Knight and other independent musicians are trying to break free from Bollywood’s monopoly over music. Going by the way their hit songs are used in Bollywood films, such artists are definitely doing a good job.

Tera Zikr – Darshan Raval –

The young singer has made good use of his looks as well apart from his voice. This sad number is also one from his recently released album. The beautiful and captivating lyrics capture the pain that comes when your beloved gives up on you. The song is already a hit and it seems, from the way listeners have appreciated both the song and the video, that Darshan Raval has made good use of all his talents.

Tab Bhi Tu (October) –

Music director Anupam Roy impressed everyone with this melodious composition. Sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the song is an earnest appeal to a departing beloved to stay with him, no matter what happens. From the haunting lyrics to the music and the ethereal voice, everything holds the deepest meaning possible in the song. Though you will not find a single song in the movie, the album works wonders for all the emotions flooding in you when your loved one departs.

Ae Watan (Raazi) –

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming flick is already the talk of the town. And now, its latest released song is also making listeners appreciate it. Sung by Arijit Singh, the track is an ode to one’s country. It is sure to stir the patriot in you. This is after a long time that Bollywood has brought patriotic songs in fervor once again. Since the film deals with an Indian female spy who risks everything to protect her country yet remains unsung since her identity remains hidden, it makes sense to stir patriotic feelings by making a song on the sacrifices a few people make for the country.
