With the results of almost all leading education boards out, students across the country are either delighted with their good grades or dismayed over their lesser-than-expected outcomes. However, it’s important to remember that one’s results in academics have little impact on one’s future if the goals are strong and they make consistent efforts to persevere towards their aims.


Academic grades cannot be a yardstick of one’s knowledge and intelligence. One may or may not be a high scorer but if they have the right attitude towards life and are willing to learn and master the skill they are passionate about, then they can succeed at achieving their goals.


Let’s have a look at the educational qualifications of some of our favorite Bollywood actors and see if their educational qualifications have played any role in influencing the position they are in today?


Amitabh Bachchan




The Bollywood Shahenshah is an alumnus of Sherwood College, Nainital from where he completed his graduation. He did a double major in Science and Arts from Kirori Mal College, New Delhi.


Aamir Khan




The Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist went to J.B. Petit School for his pre-primary education, after that he went to St. Anne`s High School, Bandra till the eighth class. He completed his 10th class from Bombay Scottish School, Mahim and his 12th class from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai. After that, he focused on his acting career.


Shah Rukh Khan




King Khan attended St. Columba`s School till class 12th and was awarded the Sword of Honour for all-around performance in 1985. He went to Hansraj College to earn his bachelor`s degree in Economics from 1985–88. After that, he enrolled in a master`s degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia that he dropped out to pursue his acting career. He is an alumnus of National School Drama.


Salman Khan




The Dabangg Khan studied in Scindia School, Gwalior for a few years. After that, he went to St. Stanislaus High School in Mumbai from where he completed his class 12th. He enrolled in a graduate degree in Xavier`s College in Mumbai that he dropped out to work as an assistant director and focus on his acting career.


Aishwarya Rai




The winner of the Miss World 1994 pageant went to Arya Vidya Mandir High School before switching to Jai Hind College, where she pursued her intermediate schooling for a year. After that, she went to DG Ruparel College, Matunga where she passed her HSC exams securing 90 percent. She joined Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture to pursue her education in architecture but dropped out to pursue a career in modeling.


Akshay Kumar




The Khiladi Kumar completed his schooling from Don Bosco School, Matunga and joined Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Mumbai for higher education, which he left within a year to learn martial arts in Bangkok. He had the aspiration of becoming an actor since childhood and went on to achieve his dreams.


Hrithik Roshan




The Bollywood’s Greek God completed his schooling from Bombay Scottish School and he earned his undergraduate degree in Commerce from Sydenham College. Hrithik Roshan had a severe stammering problem since childhood and caused him problems at school. Daily speech therapy came to his rescue.


Ajay Devgn




Bollywood’s Singham completed his schooling from Silver Beach High School in Juhu and passed his 12th standard. After that, he went to Mithibai College and completed his graduation.


Kajol




Kajol was enrolled in the St Joseph Convent boarding school in Panchgani and at 16 she went to work on a movie on her summer vacation. Although she had planned to pursue her education after completing the film, she didn’t and dropped out of her studies to pursue a full-time career in acting.


Saif Ali Khan




The Nawab of Pataudi studied at The Lawrence School, Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh till the age of nine and enrolled in Lockers Park School in Hertfordshire. After that, he was sent to Winchester College from where he completed his schooling and came back to India to work in an advertising company.


Kareena Kapoor




Kareena ‘Bebo’ Kapoor Khan went to Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai for a few years after which she enrolled in Welham Girls` School in Dehradun to complete her schooling. After that, she joined Mithibai College in Vile Parle to study commerce for two years. She then enrolled for a 3-month summer course in microcomputers at Harvard Summer School. After that, she went to the Government Law College, Mumbai where she dropped out of the course in the first year to pursue her career in films.


Karisma Kapoor




Karisma Kapoor went to the Cathedral and John Connon School and studied there till the sixth standard. She later went to Sophia College for a few months and dropped out from her studies to act in films.


Ranbir Kapoor




The Bollywood’s highflying Rockstar completed his schooling from Bombay Scottish School in Mahim and his pre-university education from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. He then went to School of Visual Arts in New York City to learn film-making and later enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to pursue method acting.


Alia Bhatt




One of the fastest rising stars in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt completed her high school from Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai before acting in the 2012 film ‘Student of the Year’. Although she had planned to complete her 12th standard and pursue a graduation in drama, her tryst with acting changed her plans completely.


Ranveer Singh




The Bajirao of Bollywood is one of the highly qualified actors in the industry. He had received his pre-university education at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and went to Indiana University, Bloomington to earn a degree in Bachelor of Arts (BA). After graduating from university, he worked in the corporate sector for various ad agencies.


Deepika Padukone




One of the highest paid actresses in the industry, Deepika Padukone went to Sophia High School in Bangalore and earned her pre-university education at Mount Carmel College. After that, she enrolled for a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology at the Indira Gandhi National Open University but left it to focus on her modeling career.


Priyanka Chopra




The winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant and one of the highest paid TV actors in the world, Priyanka Chopra has received her education from various schools in the country and abroad. She went to La Martiniere Girls` School in Lucknow and St. Maria Goretti College in Bareilly. After that, she moved to the US and attended schools in Newton, Massachusetts, and Iowa in three years. After that, she returned to India to complete her senior year of her high-school at the Army Public School in Bareilly.


John Abraham




John Abraham is among the highly qualified actors in the industry. He has a bachelor`s degree in economics from Jai Hind College, Mumbai and is an MBA from Mumbai Educational Trust. After that, he went on to work in a couple of media and event management firms.


Farhan Akhtar




The multifaceted Bollywood personality completed his schooling at Maneckji Cooper in Mumbai and has a commerce degree from H R College, Mumbai.


Rajkummar Rao




One of the best talents in Bollywood, Rajkummar Rao completed his schooling at Sh. S.N. Sidheshwar Sr. Sec. Public School in Gurgaon. He graduated in Arts from Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (ARSD)–University of Delhi. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India in 2008.
