Neeraj Pathak’s movie ‘Bhaiyyaji Superhit’ is finally ready to be released on the big screen. The movie was supposed to be released earlier in 2012, it kept stalling till 2016 and finally, we have the released date fixed on September 14, 2018. The movie has Bollywood`s power-packed performers and is expected to be one of the best comedy films of the year. Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta are sharing the screen after almost 15 years; the duo’s last film was ‘The Hero Love Story Of A Spy’ which was released back in 2003. The movie was not a big hit and had a box-office collection of 27 Crore INR. However, Sunny’s chemistry with Ameesha Patel in ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ was loved by the audience and the movie was his biggest hit.
Bhaiyyaji Superhit is an action comedy movie and its story revolves around a gangster’s life who aspires to be an actor. It is also reported that Sunny Deolwill be seen in a double role. The actors spoke about his character in the movie and said that he is looking forward to this movie because this is the very first time that he is playing a double role. He further added that the film’s subject is quite noble and he hopes that the audience likes his role. Lead actress Preity will be seen playing the role of his wife.
Problems during the shooting and reason behind its delay:
The initial cast which was announced in 2011 had Tusshar Kapoor in place Shreyas Talpade. The makers scheduled the release in 2012. According to some reports, Subhash Ghai refused to increase the film budget by 6 Crore INR and later he even denied to be the producer of the film. In 2012, Tusshar Kapoor left the movie due to his schedule conflicts with the movies ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and ‘Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum’. Meanwhile, there were conflicts between the Producer Mahendra Dhariwal and the lead actor Sunny Deol. The shoot was also delayed due to Preity Zinta’s involvement in Indian Premier League.
