Brothers Review: It’s a Mixture of Many Hot Messes

The Sidharth MalhotraAkshay Kumar starrer Brothers is a sordid tale of sibling rivalry, one legitimate, another illegitimate, joined together by circumstances. The film is a remake of the Tom Hardy film Warriors which was critically acclaimed. However, all of this is what made it extremely messier. Jackie Shroff who plays the father of the two opposing men is a drunken mess who brings an illegitimate child for the family and makes matters worse in his family. When he comes out of jail, his two sons are into heavy fighting, mostly shirtless. Jacqueline Fernandez fails to add any charm except playing a mother whose child suffers from a rare disease making Akshay Kumar turn into a street fighter. It is very little the film has to offer either in terms of plot or performances.
