Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Raid’ shows steady growth at its opening weekend from the date of its release with an estimated box-office collection of more than ₹47 crore. The highly anticipated movie also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla in prominent roles. ‘Raid’ is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta of ‘Aamir’ fame and released on 16th March 2018. 

The film is based on the real-life incidents when Income Tax raids were conducted heavily in various parts of India in the 1980s. The raids were conducted by officers belonging to Indian Revenue Service. Ajay plays the role of a valiant and honest IRS officer Amay Patnaik who gets to know about the black money accumulated by MP Rameshwar Singh aka Rajaji played by Saurabh Shukla. The film was favorably received by the critics as well as the audience. Ileana D’Cruz plays the wife of Ajay Devgn.

On the day of its release ‘Raid’ minted around ₹10 crore and carried on to collect ₹13.86 crore on Saturday. On Sunday the film showed a considerable growth minting around ₹17.11 crore.
On the fourth day, the crime thriller collected ₹6 crore which is a positive sign for the film’s growth as Monday is a working day. 
According to leading trade analyst, the Ajay-Ileana starrer film collected around ₹11.74 crore till Sunday.

The powerful performances of Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla are sure to keep the audiences coming again and again to watch the movie. The enthralling storyline will be the audience glued to their seats. The film also boasts of amazing soundtracks which are composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Amit Trivedi and the lyrics are written by Indraneel and Manoj Muntashir. 

The thriller is all set to cross ₹50 crore today. Leading media houses like Times of India and NDTV rated the film 3.5 stars out of 5. We hope that the movie does well in the coming future and ‘Raid’ box-office collection to grow while facing tough competition from movies like ‘Hichki’ and ‘Baaghi 2’.
