Aiyaary Box Office collection: Fails to make a mark on Day 1

Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary made its debut at the box office on February 16. The movie starring Manoj Bajpayee, Sidharth Malhotra, and RakulPreet Singh revolves around the corrupt practices going on in Indian armed forces.

The movie surely had a long journey before hitting the silver screen. From being a Republic Day release, it got postponed to Valentine’s Day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has given the film a total of 2 stars and has described it as disappointing. Apart from the fact that Neeraj Pandey`s `Aiyaary` has been banned in Pakistan, the movie has seen its share of rough edges. Aiyaary released across 1754 screens in India on February 16. As far as the first day of the film is concerned, its first day is estimated to be 4.5 crore business. 


This action-thriller was expected to earn around Rs 4.5 crore in the first day. As far as the first weekend is concerned, the first weekend is expected to do the business of 15 crore business. Although official statistics are yet to come. With 6330 shows will be running every day, the movie is competing with Marvel`s Black Panther. Aiyaary has taken poor opening 10-15% but Black Panther has taken over the box office with an excellent opening of 40-45%.


Siddharth Malhotra is playing the role of Major Jai Bakshi with Manoj Bajpayee, playing the role of Colonel Abhay Singh. The story of the film is primarily the story of Major Jai Bakshi, which is part of the DSD (Data Ent system Diagnostic) unit. Being a victim of a system infected with corruption, Jai goes rogue.
