When a young, bubbly 18-year-old girl made her debut along superstar Shah Rukh Khan, little did she know that she would become the most successful actress of Bollywood 10 years later with two 300 Crores movie under her belt? Yes, we are talking about none other than Anushka Sharma.

Slowly and steadily she became one of the big superstars of Bollywood roaring the box office with movies like Sultan, PK, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Her journey in Bollywood has truly been astonishing as she didn’t come from a star family. It was her performances and in-depth portrayal of the characters which helped her achieve this stardom. Now she is happily married to the current cricket sensation Virat Kohli. Here’s a look at 5 movies in which Anushka Sharma amazed us with her performances-

1.Band Baaja Baaraat

Band Baaja Baaraat was one of her early releases and was also the debut movie of Ranveer Singh. This movie is still a favorite among the youths for its fresh plot and the performance of Anushka who played the feisty ambitious role of Shruti Kakkar.

2.Jab Tak Hai Jaan

Jab Tak Hai Jaan was the second collaboration of Anushka Sharma with Shah Rukh Khan after her dream debut with the super hit movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Though Nushki (Anushka`s pet name) had only a supportive role with Shah Rukh and Katrina Kaif in lead, her performance was the best in the movie, sometimes overpowering Shah Rukh Khan, which won her the awards for best actress in the supporting role.

3.PK -

PK is the highest grossing movie of Anushka Sharma till date. With Aamir Khan in the lead, she plays the role of a journalist who helps an alien PK (Aamir Khan) go back to his own land. Directed by Raj Kumar Hirani the movie also dealt with the concept of superstition and unnecessary rituals in the name of religion. It was the highest-grossing movie ever for some time with a whopping collection of 341 Crores in India.

4.NH 10-

The first movie under the production house of Anushka Sharma, NH 10 received great acclaim from the critics and was also loved by the audience. A dark movie based on the theme of honor killing and revenge, Anushka completely nailed the role and outshined everyone in the movie.

Yet another 300 Crores grosser for Anushka, Sultan was a complete package of action, romance, drama, comedy, pain, and agony. Though Salman Khan was in the lead role, Anushka Sharma was loved by all because of her performance of a wrestler and, of course, acting.
