One of the best actors, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has given us some amazing movies. He has given that ray of hope to every other person trying to get into cinema. Looks always don’t matter, it’s your hard work and talent that keeps you in the track. With the trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui`s latest film Monsoon Shootout doing the rounds, we see how he has grown and how no one else can be Nawaz! The trailer is first of its kind in Indian cinema, where the makers give you the option to see what you choose. It’s like a game!

Now talking about Nawazuddin, the struggle hasn’t been easy. Starting from small background acting to working in tailor made roles. Let’s talk about top 5 Nawazuddin Siddiqui films in which we saw the raw acting skills.

1-      Dekh India Circus

The film is directed by mangesh Hadawale and is set in modern day barren desert of Rajasthan. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tannishtha Chatterjee in the lead role. Both of them won the best actor and actress award in the New York Indian Film Festival. The film provides an entertaining metaphor for rural India`s struggle to access the supposed economic miracle of that East Asian nation.

2-      The Bypass – A Short Film

It is a short and silent film which featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irrfan Khan and Sunder Dan Detha.  The film is about two friends who stay by the stranded road "Bypass" and a corrupt police officer. The two friends frequently mug and ultimately kill the people who travel by the road. The film is filled with violence and aggression. The film is directed by Amit Kumar.

3-      Patang

A poetic journey to the old city of Ahmedabad, “Patang” weaves together the stories of six people who are changed by the energy of India’s largest kite festival. The film is directed by Prashant Bhargava and he enchants us by showing the emotional journey of people involved. The film starred Nawazuddin Sidiqui and Seema Biswas in the lead roles.

4-      Miss Lovely

The film deals with the criminal depths in the C- grade film industry in Mumbai. Duggal brothers (Nawazuddin played the younger brother) produced sleazy sex-horror films, but their relationship gets sour. Ashim Ahluwalia, the director of the film, shows this intense and destructive relationship between the brothers.

5-      Liar’s Dice

It is  a 2013 road drama film starring Nawazuddin and Geetanjali Thapa directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film won 2 National Awards and many awards in film festivals.

The film talks about a sense of futility; anger against the system and also explores the dynamics of a man woman relationship. It’s a linear narrative travel story with a more alarming backdrop of our social problems.

These are some of his must see movies! Do watch the trailer of his film Monsson Shootout as well. Nawazuddin is ruling all over Bollywood now! I am sure it will not change for a long time now. A talent like him is very difficult to ignore.
