In 1921, even Bhatt loses track of who the ghoul haunting York’s post-World-War-I “Wadia Manor” is. In the end, all roads lead to a backstory about incomplete love, untimely deaths and incoherent ghosts with laryngitis. Source : Visit site for more

1921 is a routine horror drama that offers nothing new. At the box office, it may find some audience during the weekend but later on, it will find it difficult to sustain. Source : Visit site for more

The movie definitely succeeds in creating an eerie atmosphere at times and has some well-directed and executed horror sequences. Source : Visit site for more

The production is impressive and the mood that Bhatt creates, with dim candle lights, is actually effective, but the film quickly develops a formula and your attention wavers. While Bhatt has managed to piece together the disjointed ends of his extremely laborious story, and there is a climax that one did not expect, it already too late. With the number of songs in the film, which all sound the same, `1921` is more of a horror-musical. Even if you are weak-hearted, this one will not scare you for too long. In 1921, you seeing so much of the spooks that you stop caring by the time the clock turns to hour two.
Bhatt`s story has an interesting climax, but by the time you get there, you have exhausted all patience.
